Raffle winners will be drawn on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Visit our Raffle Webpage for more information.
First, to reiterate, all of the GCAA (Greater Cleveland Athletic Association) Sports programs are run by volunteers who put in countless hours of work without monetary compensation. We are, however, not only a growing area and sports organization, but one that needs to address existing and some over due needs for practice and game field maintenance and procurement.
In short, because of rising costs in running the GCAA Soccer program, we have implemented a mandatory Raffle Fundraiser. Instead of simply raising registration prices by $20 per player, we have instead provided a means by which players/parents can recoup the costs by choosing to sell raffle tickets to family, friends, and neighbors.
Each registered player is required to purchase at least 10 raffle tickets. We are counting on the average number of tickets purchased for sale, however, to be more than twice that. To make their sale easier Pelican's SnoBalls, for example, is offering a BOGO coupon to accompany each ticket sale. I don't know about you, but this alone will more than make up the mandatory raffle purchase. We also have great coupon deals for Pizza Inn and Dairy Queen.
This is in addition to the $1,000.00 1st place drawing, $500.00 2nd place winner, and $250.00 for 3rd place. The raffle winner drawings will take place on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.

Each players selling 50 or more tickets will be compensated 30% of the ticket sales. Each ticket costs $1.00. So if you sell 50 raffle tickets, 30% of $50.00 is $15.00. So, for your hard work, you will receive $15.00 in compensation. If you sell 60 raffle tickets, you will be compensated $18.00. If you sell 70 tickets, you'll get back $21.00, 80 tickets is $24.00, 90 ticket is $28.00, 100 tickets is $30.00.
In addition to the 30% compensation, the player selling the most raffle tickets will be rewarded $300.00. The second place seller will receive $200.00. Third place $100.00.
If you need more tickets to sell. Email firstname.lastname@example.org and say so. Daniel Rentz will get you email and will be happy to give you a phone number to text or call and an address where you can go pick up more tickets, etc... He'll be happy to accommodate you. He'll also text parents throughout the season letting them know when he'll be out and available during game and practice days. You can either pay for additional tickets up front or later.
You can take orders from family, friends, and relatives as early as you like. You do not need to have any raffle tickets in hand to do so. Our current plans include raffle tickets distribution on our first two Saturday practices at C3, August 19th and 26th. We'll be making our rounds to you so can come get raffle tickets you've already purchased. At that time you can obtain additional tickets either keep or resell and turn in your filled out raffle ticket stubs. Additional times and dates and places for distribution, sales, and collection will be forthcoming. If you have any questions or special requests, please email email@example.com.
